It’s a proven pathway to self-worth (better than self-esteem), resilience, motivation, and overall happiness. Love for oneself is now regarded as the most vital aspect of wellbeing (including physical health and immune functioning).
Self-compassion trains you to soothe your fight/flight/freeze reactions by activating the caregiving part of your parasympathetic nervous system.
The Connected Heart program synthesizes relational neuroscience, somatic psychology, attachment-focused therapy and guided imagery. Imagery is most effective in helping to shift your inner mind.
Through the heart-centered practices in this program, you’ll learn how to:
- Receive unconditional love to balance the love you give
- Become masterful with difficult emotions
- Shift from self-judgment to radical self-acceptance
- Neutralize negative energy you absorb from others and create better boundaries
Other self-compassion training programs can feel large and impersonal, targeted to a more general audience. In this one, you’ll be learning and practicing within a small group of other helping professionals.
