Jessica McCrea, Psy.D. has had a lifelong interest in personal transformation. She combines empathy, clinical and coaching skills, and leading-edge techniques in order to help her clients to thrive.

Jessica has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1998.  In Los Angeles, she had a private practice working with clients in the film and television industry.  Since 2005, she has practiced in Boulder, CO.

Jessica has also offered integrative business coaching both in Boulder and remotely to a wide range of professionals and entrepreneurs in the film industry, in law, technology, and other industries. She brings to coaching numerous techniques for self-regulation, meditation, belief shifting, communication and confidence-building.

Jessica obtained a doctorate in 1996 in Individual and Family Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and completed her post doc at the Wright Institute, a training site for psychodynamic and contemporary psychoanalytic therapy.

She went on to study interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, energy psychology, somatic psychology, positive psychology and metaphysics.

Jessica has been interested in meditation since she was 17, when she learned to meditate to help with her own stress.  Once the research came out about the benefits of meditation for physical and mental health, she was inspired to pull together a collection of brief, doable practices for her clients.

Jessica is trained in numerous somatic and energetic techniques. When woven into the helping relationship, these powerful methods often lead to lasting shifts. They include:  EMDR, Brainspotting, Holographic Memory Resolution, Radiant Heart Healing, EFT, PSYCH-K, and energy work. She also offers a variety of user-friendly methods to help people “Take in the Good,” as neuropsychologist Rick Hanson recommends.   These can help foster more confidence, joy, focus, and calm.
