Are you distressed from the same old patterns? Most of what drives our distress is faulty programming from early emotional learning. You can update these beliefs, and change how you feel.
Although our tendency is to avoid the parts of ourselves who suffer, reaching out for help is one of the most meaningful endeavors you can pursue. When we reflect on your distress together, we can help you reconsolidate old memories held in your body-mind. You can birth positive beliefs about yourself and neutralize shame.
Are you ready for inner peace?
Within the safe haven of a compassionate therapeutic relationship, you can experience powerful methods of healing from your distress. I offer Trauma-Informed Hypnotherapy, EMDR and Brainspotting, as well as techniques from Energy Psychology, including Psych-K and EFT.
You’ll also come to identify brief, personalized practices for self-soothing.
In trauma treatment, we call this “Resourcing” because these practices help to strengthen inner resources. Together, we can help you find a way to “take in the good.”

I want to take the time to give you an honest and sincere thank you, Dr. McCrea, for all the great work we have done, and that you have guided. I never thought it would be possible to feel the internal freedom which I now feel. It’s as though I have finally awakened from the chrysalis. You are a quality therapist. I truly believe that you are in this endeavor to see people get well.

Life is so much better now than before I started therapy with you a little over two years ago. Things are still progressing and I’m very happy where I am in life right now, even with all the life challenges we all have in this time. I have developed a spiritual practice, enjoy meditating daily, and have centered my life around growing positively. Feelings of purpose and joy have come into my life and I can see the changes that has had on my relationships, marriage and children. My judgment of people I disagree with has drastically gone down and some people close to me are actually asking me for some personal advice. I’ve seen attachments fall away naturally on their own, my desire to drink or use cannabis has almost disappeared completely, and I’m content in lots of situations that used to cause me anxiety or boredom.

“I can’t thank Jessica McCrea enough for the work we have accomplished together. She listens intently and recalls the slightest details from prior sessions connecting past and current experiences to help me uncover a clear perspective on the situation. She uses memory work to rewire past life events that are still triggering. This allows for an emotional release from the body and decreases the likelihood of the emotional reaction occuring going forward. Jessica teaches resourcing and encourages practice of this technique so that when a similar situation occurs I have tools to access what I need in that moment – such as courage, love, and compassion. Jessica has helped me understand and embrace my skills and gifts. She has taught me the resourcing practice and helped me to heal wounds through memory reconsolidation. I couldn’t imagine doing this work with anyone else!”
